Netherland – Cote d’Ivoire

Maybe it was not as good as Argentinia vs Serbia/Montenegro (I have no idea, because I haven't seen that Match), but it was a good and solid Game. The Netherlands had a very good and effective Tactic. Strong defense and enough effective attack. And Cote D'Ivoire were fighting until the last minute. But they would have needed more routine in playing and more precision. I would not begrudge the 2:2 to them. It's a pity but it shouldn't be. Again a good Team in the wrong group.

Well, the Netherlands are not playing really amazing, but pretty effective Soccer. So they will stay on my Fav-List. In the round of 16 they will have to play either against Mexico or Portugal. And in the Quarter either against England, Sweden, Germany oder Ecuador. I am not sure about that. But they will have a chance to reach the semi-finals or even maybe the final … well, I'll better not give you my opinion about that 😉

In the lack of good defensive players you will have no chance in the tournament. That’s why England, Italy and Argentina are on my fav list. And that’s why Germany says bye bye in the next round. At least they made it to the last 16, not bad for a team at #23 or so in the FIFA list.
